Human iPS Cell Lines
Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs) are derived from somatic cells through the ectopic expression of key reprogramming transcription factors. They possess the defining characteristics of embryonic stem cell (ESC)-like cells, including indefinite self-renewal and the ability to differentiate into all three germ layers. Alstem iPSCs are suitable for use in wide- ranging research and development.
Highlights
Alstem provides human iPSC lines (hiPSCs) derived from various human somatic cells (foreskin fibroblasts, mesenchymal stromal cells, PBMCs etc.) by ectopic expression of OCT4, SOX2, KLF4, and MYC genes as found in the ALSTEM Episomal Reprogramming Kit (Cat No. RF202).
Key Features
- Low passages
- Transgene- and virus-free (episomal)
- Homogeneity– originated from a single iPSC clone
Primary Application
- Differentiating to various somatic cells or organoid models for phenotypic and target-based compound screening,
- generating functional cells/tissues as regenerative medicine research.
