Introduction
Service Request FormAs an authorized Promega product/service provider, ALSTEM offers products and services integrating these advanced bioluminescence technologies, which allow scientists to study previously undetected activity in living cells and accelerate protein research and assay development. HiBiT, HaloTag®, NanoLuc®, and NanoBiT®—innovations by Promega—enable precise and sensitive analysis of protein expression, localization, and interactions. HiBiT and NanoLuc® provide ultra-bright bioluminescent detection for quantitative assays, while NanoBiT® supports real-time monitoring of protein–protein interactions. HaloTag® offers versatile covalent labeling for imaging and purification applications. Together, these systems deliver unmatched flexibility for studying protein dynamics in living cells.
Service Highlights
Taking advantage of licensed CRISPR/Cas9 and OpenCRISPR-1 gene editing technologies, ALSTEM offers customized gene labeling and tagging services using Promega's HiBiT, HaloTag®, NanoLuc®, and NanoBiT® technologies. Through precise knock-in design and validated cell line generation, ALSTEM enables accurate, real-time analysis of endogenous protein expression and function.
Additional Services
ALSTEM has developed a specialized series of lentiviral vectors incorporating Promega's HiBiT, HaloTag®, NanoLuc®, and NanoBiT® technologies. These vectors are designed and validated using ALSTEM's proprietary virus packaging platform for high-efficiency expression and reliable performance in mammalian cells. These ready-to-use lentiviral solutions enable seamless integration of Promega's advanced labeling and reporter systems into stable cell lines, empowering researchers with reliable, high-sensitivity tools for real-time protein analysis and functional studies.
HiBiT
A high-affinity peptide tag that binds LgBiT for sensitive quantitation.
HaloTag®
A fusion tag enabling covalent ligand binding for diverse protein studies.
NanoLuc®
A small, bright luciferase used for sensitive live-cell protein reporting.
NanoBiT®
A split NanoLuc® system detecting protein interactions through luminescent reconstitution.
NanoLuc® luciferase is a small (19.1 kDa), bright, ATP-independent luciferase engineered from deep-sea shrimp. It is commonly used as a genetic reporter or protein fusion tag to monitor protein dynamics in live cells. It is also the core enzyme that powers both the NanoBiT® and HiBiT® systems. In the NanoBiT® system, NanoLuc® is split into LgBiT and SmBiT subunits, which reconstitute the enzyme upon protein interaction.
